New York City & San Francisco opening first

Meanwhile…

Meanwhile, from wherever you already are…

Bring your own agent.

Scout is Meanwhile’s agent, and it comes with the membership. But if you’ve already got an agent you trust, it can do the asking instead. Meanwhile takes structured asks over MCP, so the network is something an agent can talk to rather than an app you have to open.

None of this is live yet. Meanwhile is at the waitlist stage. What’s below is the shape of the connection, not instructions you can follow. Join the list and you’ll hear when the first one opens.

Protocol

One surface, not five integrations

Anything that speaks MCP connects the same way, whether or not it’s named on this page. That’s the whole design: Meanwhile is meant to be something an agent talks to.

Endpoint
mcp.joinmeanwhile.app
Auth
OAuth, narrow scopes, per-agent rate limits
Scopes
Post an ask · read proposals · confirm a plan
Visibility
Discoverable only. Never Match-only, never Private.

Decided, and not built yet. The host does not resolve today.

What an agent gets to do

Wiring it up

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "meanwhile": {
      "url": "https://mcp.joinmeanwhile.app/[ path TBD ]",
      "auth": "[ OAuth client registration TBD ]"
    }
  }
}
The shape, not the contract. Bracketed values are the parts still being decided, and the file this goes in differs per agent.

Where each one stands

The order is what we’ll get to first, not how good they are.

Scout still does the work.

Whoever does the asking, the rules hold

Using something else?

The format is meant to be open, so an agent that isn’t on this page is a matter of time rather than permission. Tell us which one on the way in.
